1. Who controls the information

EddieRod.com is operated by EddieRodLLC, doing business as EddieRod.com, at 3816 South Lamar Blvd, Building 22, Austin, Texas 78704, United States (“EddieRod.com,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We act as the controller or business for the personal information described in this Policy.

2. Scope

This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use EddieRod.com, create an account, read or publish content, subscribe to email, purchase a membership or Vault license, participate in referrals, view advertisements, or use support and privacy features.

The Service is offered worldwide, but a feature may be unavailable or restricted where local law, payment support, sanctions, or operational limits require it.

This Policy does not govern information processed solely by a third party under an independent relationship with you.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide

• Account information: email address, display name, password hash, locale, age or eligibility information, and account preferences.

• Profile information: optional biographical and profile details you choose to add. Member image uploads are not currently supported.

• User Content: Bulletins, riffs, comments when unlocked, reports, moderation submissions, and related metadata.

• Membership information: selected plan, 14-day trial, monthly renewal state, cancellation, receipts, refunds, and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. We do not store your full payment-card number.

• Vault information: purchased package, entitlement, frozen license receipt, download history, and related support records.

• Email information: subscriptions, confirmed-email status, topic choices, notification settings, and messages you send us.

• Support, privacy, and legal requests: correspondence, verification information, appeals, and records needed to respond.

• Age information: age or date-of-birth information used to determine eligibility. The system may retain a derived hash, verification result, policy version, and audit record rather than a readable birth date.

3.2 Information generated through use

• topics, sources, interests, and items you follow or save;

• content views, feed interactions, clicks, and other engagement events;

• referral codes, confirmed email subscriptions, rewards, and fraud-prevention outcomes;

• email sends, opens, clicks, delivery, bounces, complaints, and suppression status;

• legal-document version, acceptance time, locale, and acceptance surface;

• login attempts, lockouts, two-factor status, bot checks, and security events;

• device, browser, session, cookie, advertising, and site-issued identifiers;

• approximate location or region derived through network or GeoIP services;

• campaign, UTM, source, and advertising-attribution data; and

• pseudonymous interests and activity used to select or measure advertising.

3.3 Information from third parties

We may receive information from Stripe, MailerSend, Cloudflare, MaxMind, Hostinger, LiteSpeed/QUIC.cloud, YouTube/Google, advertising partners, referral participants, public RSS feeds, publishers, and other service providers when necessary to provide the Service, prevent fraud, personalize content, deliver or measure advertising, or comply with law.

3.4 Public and editorial source information

The editorial system receives publicly available article titles, links, excerpts, publication details, and images from selected third-party feeds and sites. Authorized administrators, moderators, and editors may send those source materials and editorial instructions to OpenAI to prepare an article draft or evaluate publication readiness.

We do not intentionally submit ordinary member User Content to OpenAI through the editorial workflow. We do not use member User Content to train AI models without separate express authorization.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

• create, verify, and secure accounts;

• enforce adult-only account, comment, purchase, membership, referral, and restricted-content rules;

• provide the Feed, follows, saved items, memberships, and Vault access;

• process payments, subscriptions, trial conversion, cancellation, refunds, receipts, and license records;

• send requested email and essential service notices;

• publish, display, moderate, promote with attribution, preserve, and de-identify User Content;

• personalize digest and Feed recommendations based on interests and activity;

• deliver contextual and cross-site behavioral advertising;

• measure content, advertising, referral, and technical performance;

• operate referrals and detect abuse;

• prevent fraud, enforce limits, protect security, and troubleshoot failures;

• honor consent choices, Global Privacy Control, opt-outs, and privacy requests;

• comply with tax, accounting, legal, takedown, licensing, and recordkeeping duties;

• perform AI-assisted editorial drafting, policy evaluation, and Phase 4 automated publication; and

• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely as applicable on contract performance, consent, legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, service improvement, personalization, editorial operations, and measurement. We seek consent where applicable law requires it, including for optional cookies or targeted advertising in jurisdictions requiring opt-in consent.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, SDK-like browser scripts, and similar technologies for authentication, security, age and eligibility state, consent state, protected downloads, preferences, analytics, email sessions, referral attribution, advertising, and measurement. The Cookie Policy provides a detailed inventory and choice information.

Strictly necessary technologies support requested functions. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are controlled through the consent and preference system where required.

We honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising where applicable.

These providers may use approved subprocessors under their contractual terms.

6.2 Public content

Information you publish publicly, including a display name and User Content, is available to other people and may be indexed, copied, linked, or reshared. We may feature public User Content in EddieRod.com promotional materials with reasonable attribution.

If you delete an account, public content may remain with identifying account information removed. Deletion cannot remove copies others lawfully made outside our control.

6.3 Legal and business disclosures

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, respond to a valid takedown, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

7. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money.

We do use cross-site behavioral or targeted advertising. Advertising partners may collect or receive pseudonymous identifiers, interests, page and content interactions, browser or device information, and campaign events and may recognize the same browser or device across unrelated sites or services.

We do not intentionally provide advertising partners with your name, email address, full payment information, private messages, or private User Content. Pseudonymous identifiers and cross-site activity may still be personal data. Depending on the applicable law, this activity may be defined as a sale, sharing, or processing for targeted advertising even without a monetary data sale.

You may opt out through the cookie preference center or Do Not Sell or Share control. Where applicable, we honor Global Privacy Control. Opting out does not prevent contextual advertisements that do not use cross-site behavioral profiles.

8. Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, licensing, suppression, and dispute needs. Automated and manual retention processes are used; a legal hold or technical recovery need may extend a period.

Examples include:

• account and onboarding data for the account life plus 30 days;

• email subscriber and preference data for the subscription or account life plus 30 days, except suppression evidence;

• engagement, attribution, and email delivery events for up to 24 months;

• payment, legal acceptance, consent, license, and referral-ledger evidence generally for seven years or longer when a perpetual license must remain provable;

• moderation and support records generally for three years after closure;

• security records generally for 180 days;

• age-verification audit records generally for 365 days;

• cookie-consent evidence generally for five years;

• published User Content after account deletion in de-identified form, especially when community context or riffs depend on it; and

• backups for up to 90 days through normal Hostinger rotation.

When a record must be retained but no longer needs to identify you directly, we may remove direct identifiers, replace them with a restricted identifier, or retain a one-way hash. A hash is not necessarily anonymous and may remain personal information.

The Data Retention Schedule provides the detailed operating periods.

9. Your privacy rights

Subject to verification and lawful exceptions, you may request:

• confirmation that we process your information;

• access to and a portable copy of your information;

• correction of inaccurate information;

• deletion of information provided by or obtained about you;

• withdrawal of consent;

• opt-out from sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling;

• non-discrimination for exercising a right; and

• appeal of a denied request.

We intend to provide these core rights through one process to users regardless of location where operationally feasible. A particular jurisdiction may provide different or additional rights.

9.1 Submitting a request

Send requests to focus@eddierod.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We use commercially reasonable methods to verify identity and request only the additional information reasonably necessary. You do not need to create a new account to submit a request.

We respond without undue delay and ordinarily within 45 days. When reasonably necessary, we may extend once by an additional 45 days and explain the extension during the initial period.

9.2 Appeals

If we deny a request, we explain the reason and how to appeal. Send an appeal to focus@eddierod.com with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” We respond in writing within 60 days. If a Texas appeal is denied, we provide information about submitting a complaint to the Texas Attorney General.

9.3 Authorized agents and browser signals

Where applicable, an authorized agent may submit an opt-out request. We may verify your identity and the agent’s authority. Global Privacy Control or another legally recognized browser or device signal may act as an opt-out signal where applicable.

10. Children, teens, and age controls

Ordinary public pages may be browsed without an account. Accounts and interactive or commercial functions are limited to adults 18 or older.

A person under 18 may not create or use an account, purchase, subscribe, participate in referrals, comment, view comments, or access restricted or NSFW content. We use age-registration or age-verification measures and may retain a verification result and audit record.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 through an account. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information, we delete it unless retention is legally required.

11. Security

We use safeguards designed for the nature of the information, including encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access controls, two-factor authentication options, login protection, bot mitigation, signed cookies, data minimization, hashed network or age-related values where configured, and monitoring. No system is completely secure.

If a breach requires notice, we provide notices to affected people and regulators within applicable legal periods.

12. Automated systems

Automated systems may personalize the Feed, select advertisements, detect referral fraud, detect abuse, evaluate editorial drafts, and publish eligible AI-assisted articles to public pages and the Feed/RSS at Phase 4.

A referral system may deny, defer, or reverse membership-day rewards. You may request human review through focus@eddierod.com. These systems do not make decisions about employment, housing, credit, health care, education, insurance, criminal justice, or basic necessities.

13. International processing

The Service is operated from the United States. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where an applicable law requires a transfer mechanism, contractual safeguard, representative, or other measure, we use or adopt the required measure.

14. Changes

We may update this Policy. We post a new version and effective date and provide additional notice or request renewed consent when required by law or when a change materially expands processing.
