EddieRod Guide

EddieRod.com guide

Glossary

Plain-language definitions for the words that show up across the Feed, Bulletins, Riffs, Vault, digests, media downloads, and reader tools.

Reader basics

The terms a first-time visitor needs to understand the Feed, Bulletins, Vault, and digest.

Feed

The main stream of fresh visual stories, media finds, opinions, and Bulletins. It is where most readers start browsing.

Open the Feed

Bulletin

A curated post built around a story, source, media item, or idea worth following. Bulletins help readers understand why something matters, not just that it happened.

Browse Bulletins

Riff

A response or fork of a Bulletin. A Riff lets someone build on the original idea, add context, challenge it, or take it in a new direction.

Vault

Your saved space on EddieRod.com. The Vault keeps Bulletins, media, downloads, followed topics, and useful finds together.

Open Vault

Digest

A periodic email with the strongest Bulletins and media finds, sent when there is something worth opening.

Manage digest

Follow

A way to tell EddieRod.com what you want more of. Following topics, sources, or Bulletins helps shape your Feed and digest.

Topics

Editorial lanes readers can follow, such as photography, tech, culture, local coverage, or any theme the site is watching.

Source

A publication, site, feed, creator, or origin point EddieRod.com watches when looking for items worth turning into Bulletins or digests.

Membership and media

Words connected to files, access, downloads, and rights.

Full-resolution

The larger, higher-quality version of an eligible media file. Full-resolution access is usually tied to member value, usage rights, or download permissions.

See membership

Usage rights

Permission to use eligible media in a defined way. Rights explain what a download can be used for, not just whether the file can be saved.

See membership

Member files

Files, downloads, or media access reserved for members because they carry higher value, larger formats, or additional usage permissions.

See membership

Participation

The actions that matter once someone wants to do more than read.

Stride

A streak-style signal that recognizes useful participation over time, such as reading, following, reacting, or helping a Bulletin move forward.

Reaction

A lightweight response to a Bulletin or item. Reactions help the system understand what readers find useful without requiring a full comment.

Behind the scenes

Editorial terms used when items move from source material into something readers can follow.

Clipping

An article, post, or source item saved into the editorial inbox before it becomes part of a Bulletin, digest, or Feed decision.

Curator note

Editorial context added by EddieRod.com to explain why an item is worth reading, saving, questioning, or following.

Title integrity

A signal that keeps the original source title separate from an edited curator headline, so readers can tell what changed and why.

Inserts

Advertising and placement requests handled as quotes, approvals, payments, and reporting instead of loose email back-and-forth.

Open Inserts

What the next digest will include

A review area showing items selected for the upcoming digest and what was skipped or held back.

Engine tuning

Admin controls for the numbers that shape send timing, digest size, interest memory, referral credit, and cleanup windows.
